Broadcasting Practicum Specialization of Islamic Communication and Broadcasting Study Program UIN Sunan Kalijaga

Wednesday, October 5, 2022, the Practical Training for Broadcasting Specialization in the Communication and Islamic Broadcasting Study Program at UIN Sunan Kalijaga was held online from the zoom meeting running smoothly and finished faster than the estimated time by the organizing committee. The material presented by the speakers was entitled "Short Film Production" in the first session, and "Screenplay in Short Films" in the second session.

This activity presented two speakers. The speakers were Alisyam, a videographer and video editor practitioner, and Andika John Manggala, a sutraadara practitioner. This activity was attended directly by the Head of KPI UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Nanang Mizwar Hasyim, S.Sos., M.Si. Participants in this activity are devoted to KPI students who choose a broadcasting graduate profile. Muhammad Lutfi Habibi as the chief organizer of the activity said that this event should have been attended by around 90 students, "81 students I admitted to the activity", he continued.

At 7.50 WIB the zoom meeting was opened to participants and the results of the 2021 broadcasting practicum were played. The main event began at 08.17 WIB guided by Nora Erlina Wati, a KPI student class of 2020. "Video production is not cheap, but also not expensive," said Nora, opening the first material session. Furthermore, he explained coherently the stages in production. In the first session, Alisyam emphasized that the pre-production process in finding the formulation of the film, including budgeting, must be done in as much detail as possible.

The event was immediately continued in the second session by Andika at 08.56 WIB. He presented the material with a lot of interaction with the student participants. "Screenplay is the storyline of the movie", answered Pawestri Kusuma Arum when asked a question by Andika. It was conveyed that in making a story logline you can use the formula "Character-Goal-Hindrance". Then it was also conveyed, "The plot consists of rounds, rounds are divided into sequences, and sequences are divided into story beats / beats". Andika gave a tip to the participants, "Don't give a title that explains the content of the story from the beginning".

It was felt that the participants listened carefully to the material provided from several students who asked questions. Popular issues also provoked the question and answer session. The experience of the practicum lecturer M. Lutfi Habibi delivered in this session was then responded to by both presenters with solutions based on experience.
